My husband & I have been together for 37 years. We met a few days before Christmas. We decided to get married in January. We were married in April & it’s still going strong.
Your love story is so beautifully written, your talents never seem to end. Congratulations! I’m so happy for you. You have such a wonderfully beautiful life journey, & a sweet family. & I know it has not always been like this, I’m just so glad things have turned out so well for someone so kind, loving and deserving. Love seeing a win. ❤️
That reminds me of my husband’s proposal to me. We were eating grilled cheese and looking at my Blue Cross bill. He said, you know, if we got married you’d have my insurance. I said, is that a proposal? He said it’s the best one I’ve got.
We’d both been married before, we’d dated for 4 years at this point and we knew that sooner or later we’d get around to making it official. Down we went to the courthouse on a Monday afternoon (we waited for him to get out of work!) and it was also his birthday. He’s never forgotten our anniversary in almost 30 years!
I think we might have been a bit faster than you. From first meeting to married in 10 days but for 9 of those days we were miles apart. We were both truckers and met on the side of the interstate, I was broken down going north and he was going south. He turned around, came back and got me safely to the truck stop for repairs. 10 days later I was in his home town invited to his parents home for lunch when he asked me to marry him. No wedding dress or even flowers, that was 29 years ago, two cancer diagnosis for me and now one for him.
Fly off the handle proposals and weddings are the best.. if something goes wrong, it's usually something that will make you laugh, rather than cry.
Thanks for sharing such a special moment 🥰
